The Tip of the Iceberg 

I am currently a proud administrator in Virginia Beach City Public Schools in Virginia Beach, Virginia. My 20+ years in education prior to now have included teaching high school English, public speaking, and creative writing, serving as a high school testing and recovery specialist, and serving as a middle school assistant principal and principal. In the other part of my life I am fortunate to be married to my best friend, Chrissy, and to have three wonderful daughters, Claire, Charlotte, and Caroline. When I am not thinking about and spending time with them, I am thinking about and spending time with the kids I serve and planning for how I can be part of making sure they have the best possible education, not only as scholars, but also as leaders and citizens. I am lucky to live and work with and for people I am passionate about. Education is my vocation, and my family is my heart. I am excited to write about them here.
